Grade Calculation

How your final grade is calculated, what the components mean, and how to use the grade calculator below.

Overview

How Grading Works

Your final course grade is determined by four weighted components. Each component reflects a different aspect of your nursing education — theory, practice, clinical skill, and professional responsibility.

The minimum passing grade for all nursing courses is 75%. Grades below 75% constitute course failure and may affect your progression in the program.

Use the Grade Calculator at the bottom of this page to estimate your final grade based on your current scores.

More than 2 absences in a single calendar month results in automatic removal (drop) from the course. Attendance violations cannot be appealed.

Calculation Formula

The Official Grade Formula

Final Grade Formula
Final Grade =
(Exams × 0.40) +
(Assignments × 0.15) +
(Clinical × 0.25) +
(Attendance × 0.20)

Example calculation:

Final Grade: 32.8 + 13.5 + 22.0 + 19.0 = 87.3 — Grade B (Satisfactory)

Final grades are rounded to one decimal place. A grade of 74.9% does not round up to 75%.
