§ 1 Institutional Status

The Armenian College of Nursing & Health Sciences (ACNHS) is a higher education institution operating under Armenian national education standards.

Instruction is delivered in English. Approximately 90% of classroom instruction is conducted in English. 100% of academic materials are provided exclusively in English.

Completion of the BSN program does not guarantee licensure in any jurisdiction. Licensure eligibility is determined solely by the regulatory authority where application is made.

The BSN curriculum integrates biological sciences, behavioral sciences, nursing theory, concurrent supervised clinical practice, leadership, research, and community health.

§ 3 Explicit Concurrency Statement

All major clinical specialty nursing courses — including Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing, and Geriatric Nursing — are delivered with concurrent theory instruction and supervised clinical practice during the same academic term.

Clinical practice is not deferred or separated from related theoretical instruction.

§ 7 Clinical Education Policy

Clinical instruction at ACNHS:

  • Occurs in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Is supervised by qualified nursing faculty.
  • Includes direct patient care.
  • Is evaluated through competency-based assessment.
  • Is documented per course and term.

Students must complete all required clinical hours to progress in the program.

§ 8 Faculty Qualifications

All nursing faculty must:

  • Hold active nursing licensure in their jurisdiction.
  • Possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or related health field.
  • Have clinical practice experience.
  • Demonstrate competency in clinical instruction.

Course failure policyFailure in two nursing courses may result in academic dismissal.
§ 10 Transfer Credit Policy

Transfer credit may be awarded for prerequisite sciences and general education courses.

Nursing courses may be considered for transfer credit only if:

  • Theory and clinical were completed concurrently.
  • Clinical hours are fully documented.
  • Course syllabi are provided for review.
  • Minimum grade equivalent to C (2.0) was achieved.

A minimum of 40% of nursing coursework must be completed at ACNHS.

§ 11 Graduation Requirements

Students must:

  • Complete 124 semester credits.
  • Complete all required clinical hours.
  • Successfully complete the Capstone Preceptorship (NURS 420).
  • Meet professional conduct standards throughout the program.
§ 12 Professional Conduct

Students must consistently demonstrate:

  • Ethical behavior in all academic and clinical settings.
  • Respectful communication with peers, faculty, and patients.
  • Accountability for academic and clinical responsibilities.
  • Strict adherence to patient safety standards.

Completion of the BSN program does not guarantee eligibility for licensure in any jurisdiction.

Graduates seeking licensure outside Armenia are solely responsible for meeting the regulatory requirements of the jurisdiction in which they apply. ACNHS makes no representation regarding licensure eligibility in any specific state, country, or territory.

§ 14 Professional Membership

Upon graduation, students receive Lifetime Membership in the Armenian Nurses Association of the United States (ANA-US), a nonprofit professional organization supporting continued professional development and networking for Armenian nursing graduates worldwide.

The ASN program prepares graduates for entry-level registered nursing practice through integrated theory instruction and concurrent supervised clinical experience.

§ 3 Explicit Concurrency Statement

All specialty nursing courses — including Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Psychiatric/Mental Health, and Geriatric Nursing — are delivered with concurrent theory and supervised clinical practice during the same academic term.

Clinical instruction is not separated from related theoretical coursework.

  • Requires completion of all assigned hours.

Students must complete all required clinical hours to progress in the program.

§ 8 Faculty Qualifications

Nursing faculty must:

  • Hold active nursing licensure.
  • Possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or related health field.
  • Demonstrate clinical practice experience.
  • Meet institutional teaching competency standards.

§ 10 Transfer Credit Policy

Prerequisite sciences and general education courses may be transferred if:

  • Completed at a recognized institution.
  • Minimum grade of C (2.0) achieved.
  • Laboratory components verified for sciences.

Nursing courses may only be transferred if:

  • Theory and clinical were completed concurrently.
  • Clinical hours are documented.
  • Course syllabi are submitted for review.
  • Coursework completed within the past 5 years.

A minimum of 40% of nursing coursework must be completed at ACNHS.

§ 11 Graduation Requirements

Students must:

  • Complete all required credit hours.
  • Complete all required clinical hours.
  • Successfully complete the Capstone Clinical Integration (NURS 420).
  • Meet professional conduct standards throughout the program.
