Dean of Academic Affairs & Director of Curriculum
Aleksandr Petrosyan serves as Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of Curriculum at the Armenian College of Nursing & Health Sciences (ACNHS), where he contributes to the academic organization, curriculum oversight, educational policy, digital academic systems, and continuous improvement of the College’s instructional framework. In this leadership role, he supports the development of structured academic processes designed to promote consistency, accountability, quality, and effective delivery across ACNHS programs.
Mr. Petrosyan brings to academic administration a professional background distinguished by quality assurance, technical leadership, systems analysis, process management, and organizational responsibility. His experience working in highly structured technical environments has developed a strong approach to reviewing requirements, identifying inconsistencies, documenting processes, coordinating teams, and ensuring that established standards are followed—competencies that translate directly into effective academic governance and curriculum administration.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science from the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), completing his studies from 2004 to 2007. His engineering education provided him with a foundation in analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, technical precision, and systematic evaluation.
From 2009 to 2021, Mr. Petrosyan served as Head of the Technical Department at TASK LLC, the official distributor of Ricoh and Toshiba multifunction printing systems. In this long-term leadership position, he was responsible for technical service and support, network administration, printing management, customer service, inventory control, and operational coordination. His responsibilities also included improving work processes and training newly hired employees, demonstrating sustained experience in departmental leadership, staff development, and organizational management.
Mr. Petrosyan later expanded his professional expertise into software quality assurance and testing. He worked as a QA Department Manager at MagiQA LLC from 2018 to 2020, where his responsibilities included web and mobile testing, regression and smoke testing, test execution, and analysis of business requirements and specifications.
Since 2021, he has served as a QA Department Manager at Showd.Me, working closely with product management and software development teams within an Agile environment. His responsibilities include analyzing requirements and specifications, testing new features, prioritizing and managing tasks, conducting software integration and API testing, verifying defects and fixes, and developing detailed test cases mapped directly to established requirements.
Mr. Petrosyan has also completed professional training in Software Functional Testing through EPAM, Manual QA, and Introduction to Programming in C++, along with advanced technical training through international organizations including Ricoh and Toshiba in the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, and Germany. These experiences further reflect his commitment to professional development and his ability to work within complex technical and organizational systems.
This extensive experience in quality assurance and requirements-based evaluation provides Mr. Petrosyan with a particularly valuable perspective in academic administration. At ACNHS, these principles support his approach to curriculum oversight: academic requirements must be clearly defined, instructional components must align with established objectives, processes must be documented, and educational outcomes must be continuously reviewed for quality and consistency.
As Dean of Academic Affairs, Mr. Petrosyan contributes to the coordination of academic policies, curriculum structure, instructional standards, faculty-facing processes, and institutional academic procedures. His role emphasizes organized implementation, documentation, interdisciplinary coordination, and the maintenance of consistent expectations across the educational environment.
As Director of Curriculum, he supports the systematic organization and review of ACNHS curricula, helping ensure that course content, learning objectives, instructional sequencing, and academic requirements function as a coherent educational framework. His analytical background enables him to approach curriculum development with particular attention to structure, traceability, quality control, and continuous improvement.
Mr. Petrosyan’s background in software quality assurance, systems analysis, digital workflows, and technical operations is especially valuable to ACNHS as the College develops and delivers its theory-based instruction through an online learning environment. His experience with digital platforms, requirements analysis, process validation, testing, and technical problem-solving supports the effective organization of the College’s digital academic infrastructure. This background positions him to contribute not only to curriculum oversight, but also to the reliability, usability, consistency, and continuous improvement of the online systems through which students access coursework, assessments, academic resources, and instructional content.
His technical expertise also supports the broader digital functioning of the institution, including structured academic workflows, online learning platforms, digital documentation, student access systems, assessment delivery, and quality monitoring. In a hybrid educational model where theoretical instruction is delivered online while laboratory and clinical education remain practice-based, this combination of academic oversight and technical expertise provides an important foundation for maintaining continuity between curriculum design and digital delivery.
His professional strengths include problem-solving, adaptability, critical thinking, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and organizational discipline. These qualities, combined with his experience in leadership and quality assurance, provide a strong foundation for his responsibilities in academic administration.
Aleksandr Petrosyan represents a structured, quality-focused, and technologically informed approach to academic leadership. Through his role as Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of Curriculum at ACNHS, he contributes to the development of an educational environment grounded in organization, accountability, clearly defined standards, continuous academic improvement, and effective digital delivery. As ACNHS expands its online theory-based education model, his technical and quality-assurance background provides valuable support for the integration of curriculum, academic policy, and digital learning systems into a cohesive and reliable educational experience.
